FALL HIGHSCHOOL RETREAT - October 25-27 - CLICK TO REGISTER
Campers…we love you and are praying for you!
The Camps
We offer a lot of different opportunities for you to visit us this summer. Here is a short description of some of the ways you can be part of the fun. Dates are listed down below.
Regular Sessions are a week long (Sunday - Saturday). These sessions are open to anyone entering the fourth grade, all the way up to those who have already graduated high school. There are typically around 130 campers at each of these sessions.
Fall and Spring High School Retreat is a special weekend session for those campers ranging from 8th grade to seniors in high school. The structure and activities of High School Retreat are a little different from our regular sessions, and are designed to give the campers a little more freedom in their daily activities.
Work Camp is how we kick off our fun-packed summer every year. It lasts a half week, and is an opportunity for campers from Junior High to those who have already graduated high school to come out to the campgrounds before anyone else and help us get everything set up. But don’t let the name confuse you … there is plenty of time to relax and hang out with some of the old friends from WRYC. Not to mention we have some of our great home-cooked meals that we are famous for serving during our regular sessions and it’s all topped off with nightly devotionals and even some singing around the campfire.
Day Camp is a special time set aside for those entering Kindergarten up to those entering fourth grade. Day Campers come out Monday through Friday 9:00-4:00, and we have many fun and exciting things that we know the kids will enjoy including crafts, swimming and fun interactive bible stories.
Outside of those camps, the campground is available for rent for retreats, reunions and parties.
About Us
White River Youth Camp is a Christian camp located in west Texas, 45 minutes southeast of Lubbock, TX. It is a place where today's youth can go to escape for a week or two with friends, enjoy the summer, and get closer to God. WRYC welcomes all children regardless of their background or religion. We accommodate campers who are anywhere from entering Kindergarten to college-bound. We have plenty of things to do for recreation from arts and crafts to nature walks, and even cooling off in our newly renovated pool. WRYC is supported by many gracious congregations in the area, directed by Russell Beene, and ran by many individuals who are thrilled to spend some of their summer helping our youth grow. We are very excited about our staff this year, and have some great camp counselors ready to meet you and help you have a summer you will never forget.
We offer a lot of different opportunities for you to visit us this summer. We have five regular sessions, which are a week long (Sunday-Saturday). These sessions are open to anyone entering the fourth grade, all the way up to those entering college. Those entering the fourth grade are invited to camp at WRYC all sessions. Our Day Camp is for those entering Kindergarten though the fourth grade. We also have a Work Camp where campers come out and help us get the facilities ready for the summer activities.
We are always so excited to see our campers at WRYC, and always striving to make it one of the best summers yet. We already have many plans on how to make your session at camp an unforgettable one, and hope to see you out at WRYC this summer.
